Merve Kaner is an associate at Greenberg Gross LLP. Her practice focuses on representing individuals who have been mistreated in the workplace or by those in positions of trust. At Greenberg Gross, she handles employment law and sexual abuse cases, bringing a thoughtful and determined approach to each matter.
Prior to joining Greenberg Gross, Ms. Kaner built a strong litigation background handling complex civil matters, including personal injury, premises liability, and defamation cases. She has a proven track record of resolving high-stakes disputes through strategic motion work and negotiation, including a defamation case recognized as a top defense verdict by the Daily Journal.
Ms. Kaner also practiced law in Turkey for several years, representing clients in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes across both national and international legal forums. Licensed in both California and Turkey, she draws on her dual training in civil and common law systems to navigate legal matters with a comparative perspective and practical, solution-oriented focus.
She holds an LL.M. in American Law from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. During her time at UCI, she volunteered to assist asylum-seeking families in immigration detention facilities, supporting their legal rights and access to resources. She continues her involvement with the UCI community and serves as a board member of the UCI Law Alumni Association. Ms. Kaner is also an active member of the Orange County Bar Association.
Bringing a global perspective and a strong commitment to advocacy in every case she handles, Ms. Kaner believes that every case is more than a legal matter — it’s a life that deserves to be heard and fought for.
